There is neither a sun nor a moon

My friends are all asleep

Some may sleep until noon

One is on the couch 

the other on the bed

in the strangest positions

with his feet stretched outwards

like a drunken dead man’s

The girl on the couch

resembles a happy tiger

and I am here all alone

typing on my computer

I’m leaving on a train 

to the city of Angels

but inside I’m feeling

like more of a Devil

Its been more than a year since my latest debauchery

and I’m here all alone

wallowing in this crotchery

They say you really don’t know someone until they fall asleep

When that person is caught somewhere half in between

You never know what friends you will keep

or what roommates will really be all that clean

Some may just be feisty and mean

Its before morning and after the witching hour

so when you ask what time it is

you really just say you have to take a shower.
